Thanks so much for taking the time to view my work! To help you get to know me, I've shared a video of my family while I photographed my daughter Annabelle at age 2.

I've been creating portraits since 1998 when I was 17 years old, working in a mall portrait studio. Who knew one of my first jobs in high school would turn into a lasting career that I love? While continuing my education, I moved on to a boutique studio in 2001 where I was a lead photographer and trainer, and made the decision to start my own business in 2006. My experience has taught me so much and I continue to learn and improve my work every day so I know when you come to me, you're getting the best images and experience possible. I strive to create the best possible images for my clients and am honored to have many families come back to me year after year.

My goal in my portraits is to create an emotional connection. I do this by mixing my photographic skills in lighting, posing, flattering angles and more, along with the ability to connect with my clients and their children to create and capture genuine moments that evoke emotion when you look at them. I want my photographs to be family heirlooms, more than just a photo. I want you to look at them in 10, 20, 30 years and see the connections you had as a family and the little things you loved about this time in your life. I try to stay away from trends and keep my style classic, so the images we create will never feel dated. If this is the style you're looking for, then we will work very well together!

Most of my sessions take place in my Cottage Grove, MN studio or in outdoor areas in Cottage Grove, Woodbury, or other Twin Cities east metro suburbs. I am also happy to travel if you have a special location in mind.

1-2 weeks after your session, you'll come to the studio for the big reveal! This is where you'll view your images for the first time. Don't worry, I have tissues! This is also when you will choose your favorite images and place your order. The reveal/ordering session is designed to help you decide what products/collection is the best fit for you, and to help you choose your favorites using side by side comparisons and answering your questions. I'm there to help you make those tough decisions, and I'll never ever pressure you to purchase anything you don't want. I don't like being "sold" to, so I'll never do that to my clients. My goal is to have you come away with our viewing confident that you're getting exactly what you want and love every minute of your experience. By the way, I have snacks!

Once your order is placed, it typically takes 2-4 weeks to complete, depending on the order and time of year (fall season has the longest turnaround due to higher volume).
