Newborn photography class | MN newborn photographer and one on one instruction

I had a great time spending the day working with Tammy, an aspiring newborn photographer hoping to learn a few things about posing and working with newborns.   We had three beautiful newborn models lined up for the day.  Unfortunately, one of them backed out last minute, then one of my space heaters broke, then, which I’m sure had something to do with the space heater being out of commission, the two lil sweeties we had modeling for us decided they didn’t want to go to sleep!  So we spent quite some time waiting (and discussing/answering questions) while moms and babies did some snuggling, nursing, etc.  with the occasional photo attempt with the non sleepy babies!   After a few hours, I decided to run out to Target and pick up a couple new space heaters.  Unfortunately, by that time one of our lil models had to go home, so we were down to one baby.  Luckily for us, after we got the heater back up and running, little “E” settled down to sleep, and we were able to get some adorable sleepy images of her.  Here is a variety from our day, and some results from our challenging but educational day!

Thank you for visiting! I love what I do, and am honored to share it with you! I've been a photographer for 12 years and am loving it! I started out working in studios where I gained experience while learning and developing my skills independently. I've taken various classes on a variety of photography related topics to enhance what I'd already learned from experience. I began working on location independently part time in 2001 with dreams to open my own studio down the road. After I became mom to my first daughter Nina in 2005, I decided to take another big step and go full time with my business. I'm so glad I did!
