Our California vacation | MN family portrait photographer

About a month ago, I flew out to Irvine, CA to visit my aunt and help her out with some newborn photography tips .  I decided to bring the whole family and spend a week away from the winter weather.  We had a great time outdoors all week enjoying the scenery and exploring Orange County and Los Angeles.  We visited a variety of parks, drove into the mountains, rode the rides a Santa Monica Pier, Bob and I were in the studio audience of Dr Phil, and we visited some gorgeous beaches.  I took the opportunity to photograph the kids outdoors, something I haven’t had the chance to do since last fall.  Here are some highlights from our trip.  Enjoy!2013-04-15_0005 2013-04-15_0006 2013-04-15_0007 2013-04-15_0008 2013-04-15_0009 2013-04-15_0010 2013-04-15_0011 2013-04-15_0012 2013-04-15_0013 2013-04-15_0014 2013-04-15_0015 2013-04-15_0016 2013-04-15_0017 2013-04-15_0018

My aunt Edie came along and I had to catch a few of her in action while my daughter Nina hammed it up in the water.2013-04-15_0019 2013-04-15_0020 2013-04-15_0021

Kari Layland

Thank you for visiting! I love what I do, and am honored to share it with you! I've been a photographer for 12 years and am loving it! I started out working in studios where I gained experience while learning and developing my skills independently. I've taken various classes on a variety of photography related topics to enhance what I'd already learned from experience. I began working on location independently part time in 2001 with dreams to open my own studio down the road. After I became mom to my first daughter Nina in 2005, I decided to take another big step and go full time with my business. I'm so glad I did!
